About The New Millennium Jelly Rollers

This foot-stompin’ duo has been playing wild fiddle tunes, singing low-down blues, and inspiring general hilarity all over the eastern United States for two years and counting. The New Millennium Jelly Rollers is composed of Max Godfrey and Elias Alexander, who began making music together by trading off verses on worksongs and spirituals. Since then, their sound has grown to encompass everything from country-blues to old-time dance tunes and Skillet-Licker-style sketch comedy.

Each performance by The New Millennium Jelly Rollers is more than just a concert—it’s an epic portrayal of the human struggle against modernity, a call-and-response singing session, and a discussion of the role that traditional music can play in healing and invigorating local communities. Bring a friend and come ready to cut loose and sing out!

They’ve performed in barns, houses, grange halls, and churches all over New England, as well as distinguished venues such as Club Passim in Boston and The Jalopy in Brooklyn.

Their self-titled debut album can be found at:
